HDBS Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund

As you all know, Haiti has suffered a terrible disaster from severe earthquake just a few days ago. Social Services of HDBS has established a HDBS Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund, and we are requesting all of you to donate to this fund generously. All monies collected in this fund will be channeled to an international charity organization.
The donation can be made online using credit card. The payment made through the system is completely secure. Please note that for added security, we DO NOT store your credit card information on our system.
All entries on the donation form other than the credit card information are optional. However, if you enter your email address in the donation form, you will receive an email confirmation of the donation details.

Daily: 9AM - 11AM, 4PM-7PM. Sandhya Arati : 6:30 PM. Temple closes at 7 PM

Board Meetings
The Executive Board meeting schedule for 2010 has not been released yet. We will include as soon as it is released.
The meetings are held from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM in the Durga Barioffice room.Unless a meeting is declared to be in Executive Session, EB meeting can be attended by any active Durga Bari member.

SHORT PLAY COMPETITION (NATAK PRATIJOGITA) When : May 21st – May 23rd 2010. The journey of Bengali Play (Bangla Natok) is historic; it boasts the copious tradition of Indian theatre whilst unfolding the rich folklores of India. With its root associated with Jatra, Bangla Natok has witnessed colossal modification. Eminent personalities of Bengali Theatre have supported in crafting it as the refined technique of illustrating the unedited realities of life in the form of “Nattya” in Bengal, India. For the past few years, Houston Durgabari Society (HDBS) Short Play Competition (Natok Protijogita) has been trying to maintain the same tradition for all the drama lovers of Greater Houston area. HDBS is pleased to welcome participation from one and all in the ninth (9th) Short Play Competition to be held this year at Sur Auditorium through May 21st – May 23rd 2010.
