The Puja Committee would like to thank community members who have expressed an interest in volunteering for this year’s Saraswati Puja. Please note that we have received numerous requests (more than available slots) and are not accepting any more requests at this time.
While we are grateful to all those who came forward, given the currently elevated pandemic situation, we will have to work with the bare minimum number of volunteers. We will make a final selection of volunteers based on the established criteria of prioritizing year-long volunteers.
We look forward to seeing all of you, digitally, on Friday, February 26th.

HDBS Kalabhavan ‘Elocution & Drama’ Department and the local kids’ drama group ‘Kisholoy’ will proudly present the famous Bengali playwright Sukumar Ray’s masterpiece ‘Abak Jalpan’ in this year’s Saraswati Pujo.
The play revolves around the communication gap due to the misinterpretation of words, where a thirsty traveler seeks water from the villagers he comes across. Directed by Rupchhanda Ghosh, the play features thirteen promising and enthusiastic learners of the above-mentioned groups.
